Large-scale installations and captivating stories offer a varied introduction to seven different thematic worlds in Berlin. Each room features unique objects and displays that are sure to surprise visitors.
In the center of BERLIN GLOBAL stands a rusty vault door weighing several metric tons. What does this two-meter-tall object tell us about expropriation and persecution, and why is it also a symbol of Berlin’s 1990s party scene? It’s also worth looking up at the ceiling to see the original light fixtures from the Palace of the Republic: How did Berliners enjoy themselves here 40 years ago?
Spin the “Wheel of History” in 60 minutes, dance in the walk-through disco ball, or discover the history of the site through the telescopes in the windows of the Humboldt Forum: This guided tour presents Berlin—historically and currently connected to the world—in a dialogic and interactive way.
