A Body To Live In I QFFM
In the organizer's words:
Fakir Musafar was more than an artist - he was a visionary who understood the body as a canvas, as an expression of identity and freedom.
In "A Body to Live In", Angelo Madsen opens a window into the world of this pioneer of body modification and queer subculture. With a mixture of personal stories, archive footage and reflections, the film shows how Fakir repeatedly broke boundaries - physically, socially and artistically.
This film is a tribute to the right to shape one's own body in a self-determined way and an invitation to celebrate the power of being different.
