Massive basslines, massive walls of guitars, thunderous drumming and striking vocals bursting with temperament and power.

A DEER A HORSE deliver strong songwriting paired with catchy melodies - always in perfect harmony with the dominant riffs. The four-piece band press their heavy bass lines, droning fuzz guitars and dark, sometimes nihilistic lyrics with a grim stoner attitude directly into your face. Their sound is an uncompromising mix of doom and a hint of sludge metal.
Musically, A DEER A HORSE are somewhere between the gaps of bands like Melvins, Red Fang, Sleater-Kinney and L7.
Whether you want to sing along, headbang or both - the choice is yours. The fact is: this band delivers across the board.

After a series of singles, cassettes and their acclaimed debut album "Grind" (2022), A DEER A HORSE returned in September 2024 with their second album "Texas Math" - released on Rookie Records. The album was recorded at Gojira's legendary Silver Chord Studio in New York, produced by the band themselves and Jamie Uertz (known for his work with Gojira and Anthrax).

HYPHEN from Jena are - based on the few song snippets that have been audible so far - somewhere between shoegaze and brute, hard to say, there's a lot going on with HYPHEN. Post-hardcore at its best.
