A Door in Time

We are A Pan Express—or simply APE. 

Our band came together because we wanted to make music that tells stories and moves us just as much as it moves the people who listen to it. 
Our sound lies at the intersection of alternative and indie rock. 

Our lyrics emerge at the intersection of fantasy and reality. We draw inspiration from classic children’s literature—fairy tales, stories, and characters that have been with us since childhood—and combine them with themes that matter to us today: freedom, personal growth, inner strength, and perhaps even heartbreak. 
In this way, old tales become mirrors of our own experiences.

APE are still at the beginning of their journey. But in the rehearsal room, we can already feel that we’re developing something of our own: music that sounds honest, is fun, and brings us together as a band.

Together with Druckphase and The Creaking Door, we’re hosting a concert on September 26, 2026, featuring original music from each band, including:
