Japanese film series 2026:
Venue: Hall E, Projector
Jay is French and has lived in Tokyo for many years. He was married, but nine years ago the couple separated, whereupon Jay also lost custody of their daughter Lily. He has not seen her since. Jay now works as a cab driver on the night shift so that he has time to look for his daughter during the day - until one day she gets into his car.
Until now, Japanese family law has not allowed joint custody. Changes in 2024 will make contact between children and non-custodial parents easier from 2026.
