Day after day, Jay (Romain Duris), a Frenchman, drives his taxi through the streets of Tokyo—hoping quietly to find his daughter Lily again. He hasn’t seen Lily since he separated from his wife nine years ago and she disappeared. She was three years old at the time. Restrictive Japanese family law left him with no way to contact her.
