Following “Wann wird es endlich wieder so, wie es nie war,” this is the second film adaptation of one of actor Joachim Meyerhoff’s autobiographical novels, starring Senta Berger, Michael Wittenborn, and Bruno Alexander. Directed by Simon Verhoeven (“Alter weißer Mann”).

At age 20, Joachim (Bruno Alexander) is unexpectedly accepted into the renowned acting school in Munich and moves into the villa with his grandparents, Inge (Senta Berger) and Herman (Michael Wittenborn). Caught between the bizarre challenges of acting school and his grandparents’ eccentric, often alcohol-fueled rituals, Joachim tries to find his place in the world—without knowing what role he actually plays in it.
