The international music formation "Adar Ensemble" has been around for a good 10 years now.
It mainly presents Kurdish melodies in various Kurdish dialects. Some international songs are also part of the repertoire.

The music leaves plenty of room for free improvisation and the interweaving of blues and rock elements is characteristic of their sound.

The Adar Ensemble plays traditional Kurdish (and Armenian) songs as well as many of their own compositions. Sometimes wild and spirited and then again tender and soulful.

The band sees its music as a small contribution against oppression and for diversity.
