Who doesn't love French chanson?
The award-winning German-Luxembourgish Adrienne Haan is considered the "first lady of cabaret" (The Huffington Post), a "top-class entertainer" (The New York Times) and "THE interpreter of French chanson" (Luxemburger Wort). The Berliner Morgenpost called her "an extraordinary singer with a great voice". Adrienne Haan travels the world with a varied repertoire. Recent performances include concerts in the USA, Europe, Australia, China, Israel, Africa, Turkey and South America. Haan now sings in 13 languages, which makes her unique in this field.
With her new French chanson program Chansons d'Amour, she is making her first guest appearance at the Pantheon and thus in her German hometown of Bonn.
As always, the audience can expect an exciting musical journey through the ages: With classics by Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Jacques Brel, Georges Moustaki, Michel Legrand and Alain Romans, Adrienne Haan also presents lesser-known oeuvres by Walter Jurmann and Kurt Weill from the French exile of the 1930s with a powerful voice, before things get more modern with jazz-pop chansons by Patrica Kaas. Her extraordinary compilation Chansons d'Amour, which is the follow-up show to her successful Cabaret Français program, promises to be emotional, seductive, wittily presented and therefore extremely entertaining. Perhaps even more so than the first show!
She will be accompanied on the piano by her long-time stage companion and multiple jazz award winner Benjamin Schaefer. A MUST for all chanson fans!
