Agnesviertel Walking Tour

Our Veedel Tour through the Agnesviertel is also not a standard city tour. We leave the conventional tourist paths to give you a real feeling of the typical Cologne Veedel.

Through the Agnesviertel we move between the most beautiful houses and cafés of the city and go deep into a more than 150 years old history. We get to know the woman after whom the quarter was named and learn why her husband held her in particularly high esteem. On our journey into the beauty of the present and the past of the Veedel, we find out what anarchists and Nobel Prize winners for literature alike have to do with the famous district.

During our guided tour of the Agnesviertel, you'll admire St. Agnes, Cologne's second largest church, and learn more about the structure's exciting past. With its beautiful variety of plants, the Flora Garden is definitely one of the most beautiful places in the city. Here you will learn about the history of "Petermann" and his connection to the Cologne Zoo. Our Veedel Tour continues to Fort X, a part of the former military fortification in Cologne's Neustadt, where you will get a glimpse into the Prussian past.
