Maritime festival on the east bank

"Fish, research and fun" is the motto: on August 30, 2026, it's finally time again! For the "Ahoy Ostufer" event, the area of the Seefischmarkt in Kiel-Wellingdorf will be transformed into a festival mile from 11 am to 5 pm. In a maritime atmosphere, guests of all ages can enjoy live music, regional food and drinks and take part in games and hands-on activities. At a fish auction in the fish hall, you can immerse yourself in times gone by. The Geomar Helmheoltz Center for Ocean Research and ships invite visitors to take a tour. The Ahoi Ostufer festival is organized by the Center for Maritime Technology and Seefischmarkt GmbH, the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research, the District Office East and the Fischwirtschaftliche Vereinigung Schleswig-Holstein e.V. (Schleswig-Holstein Fishing Association).
