In the vibrant, ever-changing world of Latin pop, a young artist from Chile is blazing her own trail and shaping her unique sound: AKRIILA.

Born in 2003 as Fernanda Sepúlveda, she grew up in Maipú, near the capital city of Santiago. Music has always been a part of her life. Her father and older sister played instruments and taught her to play the guitar at an early age. She soon began writing her first songs. But it wasn’t until the lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic that her career really took off: she bought a microphone, recorded her first songs, and released them on SoundCloud.

With her unique blend of trap, reggaeton, and pop, she created a futuristic, emotionally charged Latin sound that quickly attracted attention. On the EPs “001” (2023) and “4EVER FERIADO” (2024), as well as her debut album “Epistolares,” she refined her musical world. Characterized by fast-paced, introspective rap lyrics and catchy rhythms, she continued to develop her unmistakable style and established herself as one of South America’s most important queer voices—collaborations with stars like BB Tricks and Latin Mafia further underscore this status.

With every release, AKRIILA challenges conventional genre boundaries; she most recently demonstrated this in 2025 with the “headphones !” EP, created in collaboration with producer Dinamarca. In addition to her music, she also impresses with a keen sense of visual aesthetics; her bright red hair has long since become her trademark. Inspired by K-pop, anime, and American pop-punk, she embodies a new generation of artists: globally connected, stylistically boundless, and deeply rooted in the internet.

With her upcoming second album, “Lucy miró al mundo y notó que está girando,” AKRIILA has big plans: She wants to not only continue building her creative world musically and visually but also bring it to stages around the world. To that end, she’ll be going on tour this fall and stopping in Germany for two exclusive concerts.
