Since 2010, AKTIONALE—Das nackte Sein has opened an artistic window onto the big questions of human existence every four years at the Verein Berliner Künstler. With rotating co-curators,
Peter Schlangenbader develops each edition as an independent exploration of humanity, its vulnerability, its contradictions, and its future.

The fifth edition is titled FEHLZEIT. It is dedicated to the loss of what is essential—empathy, responsibility, truthfulness, and humanity—in a time of profound change. The exhibition reflects on social upheavals, technological developments, and the challenges of our present from diverse artistic perspectives.

The gathered works address questions of humanity through diverse artistic languages. Abstract trains of thought, subjective spaces of experience, and social reflections open up multifaceted perspectives on identity, perception, and reality.
