In times of news overload, there is a need for occasions to provide focused information and reflection on topics. This is what Aktuelle Stunde offers: two experts from science and journalism talk for 60 minutes in a balanced and differentiated way about the political topics of the week that are currently affecting society. At regular intervals, our Aktuelle Stunde therefore offers an event format in which currently important and burning issues can be discussed in detail and with calm and background.

This time, the guests in the SOCIETY ROOM are: political scientist and democracy researcher Simon Bein, who studies political parties, political culture and various ideas of democracy at the University of Regensburg, and journalist Katharina Riehl, head of the politics section of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, who describes and comments on political events in Germany and the USA.
