With Christmas and shanty songs and new musical and poetic discoveries from the ports of this world, the Christmas concert program "santa mahoin" revolves around the themes that unite us all at Christmas on land and at sea: love, hope and the great longing. Sometimes loud and sometimes quiet, the musical sailors of Albers Ahoi! get us in the mood for Christmas and bring emotion and good humor to the dark season. In the process, "santa mahoin" is as cheerful as it is contemplative, as dewy as it is danceable and as longing as a sailor on the open sea. And by the way: as "Albers Ahoi!", the five musicians in sailor's pants are already a permanent institution at the Ohnsorg Theater with their varied programs ranging from concert evenings to variety shows. But now it's time for the troupe to say: "Farewell, Albers. Moin, mahoin!" What sounds like a complete North German conversation describes the evolution of "Albers Ahoi!" into the freshly painted sailor marching band "mahoin". Because what began in 2016 with the band name "Albers Ahoi!" and Hamburg songs has now developed into a musical steam rocket with international sounds. A new name was needed to do justice to this powerful course. But really goodbye, Hans Albers? No way! The light sailor will of course remain a permanent crew member. Just in larger company.
