The ALEX MOFA GANG is one of those rare groups that have never had to artificially inflate their own myth. Their story begins in Berlin in 2012, somewhere between stuffy rehearsal rooms and poorly paid technical jobs that still separated the band members from each other at the time.

The first demos by singer and lyricist Sascha Hörold resulted in a debut album that promised more than its self-ironic title "Die Reise zum Mittelmaß der Erde" (The Journey to the Mediocrity of the Earth) suggested. Today, twelve years later, the band is still on the road - only the direction has changed. Where once youthful exuberance dominated, there is now a fine veil of seriousness, reflection and social doubt over the music.

Their new album "Euphorie am Abgrund" acts like a burning glass into a time that makes even hardened optimists ponder. The band speaks openly about powerlessness, about political shifts, about internalized patterns that you only recognize when you painfully confront them. These are songs that do not claim to have answers - but have the courage to endure questions. And it is precisely this that shows the maturity of a band that has learned that progress is impossible without self-criticism.

However, anyone who reduces the ALEX MOFA GANG to the heaviness of their content fails to recognize their core. Because the real energy of these five musicians is not discharged in the studio, but on stage. Live, they are less chroniclers of a dark present than catalysts of a form of community that has become rare.

Their concerts resemble spaces of concentration in which dance sweat, euphoria and contradiction are not mutually exclusive, but mutually reinforcing. Perhaps it is precisely this tension that makes "La Boum! 2026" the fitting title for the upcoming tour: a promise that sparks can still fly even at the edge of the abyss. (Source: Booking agency)
