Alex Spencer brings a sophisticated blend of jazz and folk to the table. A seasoned songwriter, her poetic lyrics are emotionally open and brutally honest. Melodically warm, though not always predictable, her songs go their own way, often taking surprising twists and turns. Alex has chosen different collaborations for each of her albums ranging from dynamic Berlin jazz trio, Bubu, to renowned music producer Brian Trahan. In the wake of her current album, “Is This Working?” she has been working with innovative Italian electric guitar player, Pietro Fornara and experimental Austrian bass player, Georg Kostron.
