Why have just one when you can have two? Two citizenships, for example? Sounds simple, but it's not: "French AND German at the same time, that's a contradiction in terms!" says ALFONS. And he knows why: "Germans are disciplined, punctual and efficient - the French are normal!" And yet: the roving reporter with a tracksuit jacket and fluffy microphone has taken the risk - and has now made a program out of it: In "ALFONS - Jetzt noch deutscherer", he tells the story of how he became German, from the magical, sunny childhood days in France to the beguilingly velvety gray of German offices. And ALFONS does not come alone, but with extremely charming accompaniment: surrounded by the sounds of grand pianos, his story repeatedly becomes a musical pas de deux, sometimes humorous, sometimes thoughtful, often completely surprising.
"ALFONS - Jetzt noch deutscherer" is a wonderful mélange of theater and cabaret - and at the same time much more than the sum of these ingredients. An evening with lasting after-effects: Tears in your eyes, warmth in your heart - and a hangover in your laughing muscles. The kind you only experience with ALFONS.
