Goethe's famous 'fairy tale', probably his most mysterious work, becomes a stage for questions about magic, nature, utopia and the search for meaning - then as now. This fantastic tale about community, courage and self-efficacy has been reinterpreted time and again. The special exhibition, designed as a work in progress, asks what Goethe's 'fairy tales' - and fairy tales in general - tell us about ourselves. Even in our time of crisis, the 'fairy tale' remains relevant: why did Goethe choose this particular form, and how do we tell stories of the marvelous today? Discover what the fantastic can mean to us today - the accompanying program invites you to dream, create and tell stories together.
