Alles was wir haben

In the organizer's words:

Everything we have

Nineteen creative positions on personal stories and history

History is all we have. Historiography - a dynamic process. What do we contribute to it? How do we formulate history? Designers find forms of expression that are more than mere documentation; they are living testimonies of experiences, emotions, dreams and resistance. In their hands, new narratives are created that capture the complexity of human experience.

The master students of the Communication Design course at HAW Hamburg deal with what was and what is to come. Fragments of stories - viewed through different perspectives that bridge the gap between the individual and society. What do we remember? What has shaped our present and us as a society? How do we influence the future?

From May 23-26, 2024, the students will be showing their projects from the first Master's semester at Jupiter, the old Karstadt building in the heart of Hamburg. The vernissage of the exhibition will take place on May 23 from 18:00. There will also be guided tours of the exhibition on the 24th at 11 am, the 25th at 4 pm and the 26th at 2 pm.

The building itself becomes the symbol of the exhibition - in the course of time with a constantly changing view of stories.
