The classic, winner of five Oscars: burnt-out middle-class man Lester Burnham (Kevin Spacey) blows a fuse when he meets the Lolita-like girlfriend of his disgruntled daughter Jane (Thora Birch). Sexually frustrated, he sets his mind on an affair with the teenage dream. He quits his routine job and starts behaving like a rebellious teenager again. He befriends the quirky boy next door, which brings Lester one step closer to his fatal doom.
