Ambitious schoolgirl Yu Azuma dreams of becoming a shining idol and would be willing to sacrifice anything for it. Determined to realize her dream, she vows to resist the temptations of social media and not allow herself any romantic distractions. To pave her way into the limelight, she makes the bold decision to unite three talented girls from the far corners of her prefecture and form an idol group. But the path to fame is full of unexpected obstacles that threaten to destroy all their hard work and determination.

The novel "trapezium" was written by Kazumi Takayama - a former first-generation idol of Nogizaka46. The story was first published in Kadokawa's Da Vinci magazine between 2016 and 2018. In the same year, the novel was published in summarized form - a publication in English or German is pending.
