"Alles nix Konkretes" (Nothing Concrete): That was the title of the first album by the Cologne-based band AnnenMayKantereit, released in 2016. It couldn’t have had a better title. After all, back then there really was no career plan—the motto was more like: just do it, follow the vibe, and see what happens.
That’s how Christopher Annen (guitar), Henning May (vocals), and Severin Kantereit (drums) had always approached things—ever since they met in school and performed together as street musicians—and that’s how it stayed when they released their early songs on YouTube, produced their first, now long out-of-print album, and finally released a debut EP in 2015 under the equally telling title “Wird schon irgendwie gehen” (It’ll Work Out Somehow).

In 2026, AnnenMayKantereit will finally return with new live dates: Starting in July, the band will tour Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, and Switzerland, in addition to another concert at the Cologne Stadium.
