Francophile from Munich, self-determined woman and femme de lettres: Annette Kolb (1870-1967) was a convinced European, pacifist and opponent of National Socialism. In her correspondence, she shows herself to be a modern networker: astute and approachable, helpful and humorous. The new volume of letters, edited by Annette Kolb's great-niece Cornelia Michél (Allitera Verlag), brings together more than 180 letters from Annette Kolb and many of her friends, including letters from Thomas Mann published for the first time. We will listen to a selection of the letters, commented on by Cornelia Michél in conversation with Kolb researchers and co-founders of the Annette Kolb Society, and listen to selected letters.
