Before the calm is after the disturbance
A collaboration between Anni Rieck and Olaf Wiehler

In their collaboration, the two artists explore the subtle transitions between tranquillity and disturbance. Their works interweave meditative structures with photographic interventions that question and break up silence. Silence is not understood here as a static state, but as a fragile phase that is always accompanied and transformed by disturbance.

In an open process, they allow their works to grow, change and overlap with one another, renegotiating questions of authorship, control and trust - entirely analog, far removed from digital algorithms.

INTERFERENCES is a dialog between balance and movement, a game with what unfolds and changes in between.
