Antoine Tamestit and the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin invite you to a baroque summit meeting in the name of the viola. The exceptional French violist plays a Stradivari instrument from 1672 - extremely fitting for the concertos and sonatas by Bach, Handel and Telemann.
Telemann created a concerto for viola for which violists love him. There was also once a concerto for viola by Bach, which is now lost, but has survived in arrangements made by Bach himself. The reconstruction according to Bach's handwritten sources is a great discovery - and in the interpretation of the versatile violist Antoine Tamestit and the lively Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, a declaration of love for the viola.
