ARD-Musikwettbewerb 2025 – 3. Preisträgerkonzert

The newly crowned winners of the 74th ARD International Music Competition present themselves in the final concert - accompanied by the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Sasha Scolnik-Brower. Sir Simon Rattle had to cancel his participation in the final concert of the ARD Music Competition due to an acutely necessary groin operation taking place these days and the necessary recovery time afterwards. He deeply regrets this: by taking part in this year's ARD Music Competition, he wanted to express his support for this unique institution.
However, he has already announced that he will conduct the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra (BRSO) at the final concert in two years' time: "My frustration and disappointment at missing this year's ARD competition is tempered by the thought that I can make amends in 2027. I much look forward to supporting and taking part in this important and influential event then."
