Two time periods and two perspectives intertwine to create a multi-layered interplay between reality and fiction: After her mother’s death, successful commercial director Elsa throws herself into her work, refusing to allow herself time to grieve. In a different time period in the same city, the successful writer and director Raúl Durán—who is battling a long creative slump—is working on his new project—and is writing the very story that recounts Elsa’s life.
