PULP FICTION
FSK approved from 16
For the petty criminal couple Pumkin (Tim Roth) and Honey Bunny (Amanda Plummer), it's supposed to be the "big score". At first, the robbery of an L.A. diner works out quite well - the only problem is that the two small-time crooks get caught by professional gangster Jules (Samuel L. Jackson), who is sitting at one of the tables. He is prepared to hand over his wallet with the words "Bad Motherfucker" and several thousand dollars inside, but not the black briefcase that Pumkin and Honey Bunny want to take. The scenario escalates, Jules turns the tables, the beginners' nerves are on edge... Change of scene: Hitman Jules and his partner Vincent Vega (John Travolta) have a lively conversation on the way to an assignment for their boss Marcellus Wallace (Ving Rhames) about the merits of Dutch burger culture ("Hamburgers! The cornerstone of every nutritious breakfast!"), near-death foot massages and the pitfalls of the metric system. On the way back, the two of them make a huge mess in their car. Vincent accidentally spreads a hostage's brains all over the upholstery. Professional cleaner Mr. Wolf (Harvey Keitel) is called in to fix the dilemma. Boxer Butch Coolidge (Bruce Willis) has other worries. He has sold a fight to the underworld boss Wallace, but wants to cash in twice and bets a lot of money on his victory at a betting office. This makes Marcellus furious and he wants to have the renegade killed on the spot. These are just a few of the plot threads. Vincent's date with Marcellus' wife Mia (Uma Thurman) and Butch's fondness for the gold watch that a fellow soldier (Christopher Walken) once kept hidden in his father's backside are just as eventful and momentous...
