Munich's most creative scavenger hunt

From 29.06.2025 to 05.07.2025, Munich's popular art scavenger hunt will take place for the seventh time! The festival starts with a vernissage on Friday 27.06.2025 in Hall 6 in the Kreativquartier (Dachauer Straße 112d), followed by lectures and events on Saturday 28.06.2025. This is the only opportunity to view all the original works together, because from Sunday 29.06. to Saturday 05.07.2025 the works will go on tour. Every day, eight works will be hidden at various locations throughout Munich. Clues to the hiding places will be shared on the website (https://artschnitzel.de) and on Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/art_schnitzel/). Whoever recognizes the clues and is the first to reach their destination gets to take the artwork home and keep it. The festival will end with a special kind of finissage: the original works will be replaced by a photo documentation of the hiding places and the finders with their artworks. The patron is Dominik Krause, second mayor of the state capital Munich.

Art for all

ArtSchnitzel e.V. has set itself the task of bringing art and people together in an unconventional way. "It is important to us to reach people who are outside the traditional art world. We are committed to this together with other artists," says Fabian Gatermann, founder and organizer of ArtSchnitzel e.V. The association is supported by the Munich Department of Culture, the district committees 9,4 and 3 and various foundations, and is also financed by donations. Finders of artworks receive an indication of the market value of the respective work with each found item - they are then free to donate a contribution of any amount to the association. The proceeds are passed on to the artists.

Selected Artists 2025

"This year, all participants can once again look forward to a great mix of selected artists and their work," says Matthias Edlinger, founder and organizer of ArtSchnitzel e.V.: "When selecting the artists, we pay particular attention to the quality of the work, but a balanced ratio of male and female artists also plays an important role." The following selection of talented artists will be presented at the upcoming edition of ArtSchnitzel: Jovana Banjac with innovative media art, Mina Mania, who sets accents with feminist street art, newcomer Nathalie Kayser with her captivating paintings, Alexandra Lukaschewitz, who impresses with fascinating sculptures made of paper, Vanessa Luschmann with her impressive paintings, Michi Acapulco, who creates kinetic drawings, Jim Avignon, who causes a stir with his "Cheap Art", Werner Härtel, who creates urban art from cow dung, and Veli Silver, who puts new money into circulation in a very refreshing way.
