Au Revoir Ears is an open project led by Berlin-based double bassist Isabel Rößler, which works with changing line-ups and focuses on the individual sound languages of the musicians involved. Between freely improvised energy, structured spontaneity and eruptive sound frenzy, dense musical dialogues are created - without shying away from noise, groove or silence.
In this formation, Rößler, the Australian drummer Samuel Hall and the experimental electric guitarist Florian Müller meet the Lithuanian saxophone virtuoso Liudas Mockūnas. His expressive playing moves between free jazz, expressionism and sonic research. With extended techniques, multiphonics and unconventional sounds, he crosses stylistic boundaries with ease - and contributes significantly to the intense, raw and at the same time sensitive sound of this quartet.
