In the workshop, we will go in search of traces in the archive and library and ask how the lives of theater professionals can be researched. Using concrete examples, research paths, sources and perspectives will be presented.

In cooperation with MK Schicksale (Münchner Kammerspiele) and t-migrants (LMU Munich).

Day of the Archives - "Old home - new home"
The 13th DAY OF ARCHIVES will take place on March 7 and 8, 2026. The VdA (Association of German Archives) invites all archive institutions in Germany to actively participate. In the e-voting, the members of the VdA voted by a large majority for the motto "Old home - new home". This theme offers a wealth of points of reference in our collections. Archives hold countless stories about migration, flight, arrival, putting down roots and the transformation of communities. There are exciting discoveries about people who had to leave their homeland or voluntarily sought a new one, about the preservation of old traditions in a foreign country and the emergence of new identities and cultures.
