Museums allow us to look both back and forward: into our history, at relevant topics, and toward visions of the future. They create stimulating experiences, inspiration, collective memories, and new insights….

What kind of museum does Ottensen need?

In what kind of building? What do a facade, form, and materials convey?
What language does architecture speak?

Teenagers from the Altona High School in Ottensen are searching for answers and presenting their ideas through models, drawings, texts, and collages. They envision specific themes embodied in inspiring, powerful, and influential architecture at selected locations, and are thus designing museums for the neighborhood.

• Exhibition hours: June 25–July 8, 2026: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 2:00–6:00 p.m.; Wednesday, 9:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
