In the organizer's words:
Pero (Peter Stamol) was born in Zagreb, lived and worked in Germany, and has been living and working on La Gomera since 1994. He has been working as a freelance artist for 35 years and has worked with various materials, including metal sculptures, painting (acrylic on canvas), graphic design, comics, and more.
Pero began his cARTon creations in 2006. Exhibitions followed in Bilbao, Hamburg, Freiburg, Cologne, Bielefeld, Munich, and elsewhere—and, of course, on La Gomera.
Pero creates paintings and sculptures from corrugated cardboard.
