Christoph Niemann is known for his unique style and creative approach to visual communication. The use of classic graphic techniques such as screen printing, linocut, letter press, ink drawing, watercolor, photo overpainting for illustrations, editorial design, comics and animations in the analog and digital field make him a creative all-rounder. With his unique multimedia approach to graphic design, he demonstrates time and again how broad the range of possibilities is when it comes to creating something completely unique without making it too complicated.

In the sum of the floor and wall design, in chorus with the graphic works, one not only sees, but rather senses that Christoph Niemann understands the space as a holistic architectural entity, to which he adds his very own way of interpreting space with the design means of a creative intervention, making the exhibition space tangible in its entirety as a designable unit. The artist combines the usual division of space, wall and artwork into a comprehensive spatial experience that has neither beginning nor end. You enter the room and are in the artwork, the viewer becomes an active part of a spatial concept that can be perceived anew depending on where you stand. If you like, Christoph Niemann's exhibition is also a homage to the architecture of the Mannheim Kunstverein, because he takes the space further than its builders may have intended. But perhaps his exhibition can also be seen as a temporary completion of the intended possibility of presentation, a realization of the potential that has been inherent in the space since its construction.
