What remains when everything superfluous disappears?
With KONZENTRAT 26, the international artist group Interflux Art presents an exhibition dedicated to artistic condensation. Nine international artists are showing works that differ significantly in terms of material, form and visual language - from abstract to representational positions. The common starting point is not style or medium, but the question of how complex perceptions, meanings and contexts can be concentrated into a precise set of signs, forms or situations.
The number 26 functions as a structuring framework: On the one hand, it refers to a snapshot of the present and, on the other, to the Latin alphabet with its 26 letters as a fundamental system of what can be said.
Within this framework, the participating artists develop different strategies of concentration. Abstract works make use of reduction, repetition and structure, while representational positions condense, fragment or rearrange the visible.
The artist group Interflux Art has been working internationally for several years and has already realized exhibitions such as "Leben im Nebel" (2023), "Insel" (2024) and "Interflux Art" (2024), in which collective questions and individual artistic handwriting came together productively.
Despite their diversity, all the works share an interest in clarity, setting and inner logic - in what supports a work without explaining it.
KONZENTRAT 26 sees itself less as a thematic exhibition than as an experimental arrangement: it examines the extent to which artistic practice can be condensed without losing its openness. A field of relationships, tensions and resonances emerges from the individual positions.
