LOST - YOU GO SLAVIA

After Russia's attack on the whole of Ukraine on 24/February 2022, there was always talk of the first war in Europe since 1945. What? Wasn't something forgotten? Our friends and colleagues from the former Yugoslavia rubbed their eyes in amazement and those of us who can and want to remember have the names Osijek, Vukovar, Srebrenica, Sarajevo and Omarska in our ears just as we cannot get the names Bucha, Irpin, Kherson, Bachmut and Mariupol out of our heads today. And isn't that again too Eurocentric? Aren't there much more global issues at stake? What should we do? How do we face all the crises at home and in the world? These questions of the 6th Berlin Autumn Salon were already above the prologue in the spring GEZİ - TEN YEARS AFTER. Now in the second part LOST - YOU GO SLAVIA we look at what the bloody disintegration of Yugoslavia has to do with today. State structures do not disintegrate just like that. We saw that 30 years ago, we saw it in Georgia in 2008, in Sudan in 2011 and since 2014 in Ukraine. And what does our politics, our history, our ignorance have to do with all this?
