The music of Bochum-based guitarist, composer and bandleader Axel Rudi Pell requires neither an encyclopaedia nor a navigation device. Because what probably applies to almost all successful musicians also applies to Pell: his songs bear his typical, always characteristic signature, a hybrid of powerful guitar riffs and catchy melodies as well as the foundation of a brilliantly performing band around the American singer Johnny Gioeli, ex-Rainbow drummer Bobby Rondinelli, bassist Volker Krawczak and keyboardist Ferdy Doernberg. And although Pell has been delighting his fans with this significant mix for well over 35 (!) years, his albums are always full of ingenious surprises and remarkable collaborations. On his latest studio album 'Ghost Town', one thing is certain: Axel Rudi Pell is adding another eleven songs to the long list of great songs from his career.
