Even before the Cold War was finally over, walled-in West Berlin in particular was a Mecca of subculture and pop culture for a wide variety of artists, squatters and hedonists. The English musician, author, actor and producer Mark Reeder also ended up in the big German city at the end of the 1970s, where he threw himself into the heart of the attitude to life focused on the here and now at that time and met illustrious personalities such as Nick Cave, Blixa Bargeld and Christiane F.. In "B-Movie: Lust & Sound in West Berlin 1979-1989", this search for traces of the last decade in which there was still an East and West Berlin is made tangible through interviews and original recordings, capturing the spirit of a time in which risk and passion, madness and excess as well as death and music went hand in hand to shape the atmosphere of an entire city.
