Together with their three children and family dog "Panda", Anna and Magnús lead an unagitated life on the vast coast of Iceland. Magnús, who everyone calls Maggi, often spends days at sea as a deep-sea fisherman, while Anna hopes to make her breakthrough as an artist. In between, they hike in the mountains with the children, catch fish on the lakes, skate, shoot bows, collect blueberries or watch wild horses and whales. Anna and Maggi split up quite a while ago. But somehow they can't manage to keep their lives separate. Is it just for the sake of the children or is there perhaps some form of love that has remained?
