Back to school

In the organizer's words:

What was it like back then at the Falckenberg? What does it mean today to be on the big stages or screens or in a completely different professional environment? Last season, we launched Back to school, a discussion format in which OFS graduates from different years return to the place of their training and talk to Tim Bergmann, also a graduate (1995), about their school days, careers, crafts and art.

Our guests in May are Elizabeth Blonzen (1994 graduate) and Merlin Sandmeyer (2016 graduate), who was unable to attend in December due to illness.

After completing her training,Elizabeth Blonzen had numerous engagements at renowned theaters, appeared in numerous cinema and TV productions and holds a professorship for role design at the Max Reinhardt Seminar.

During his training,Merlin Sandmeyer received the O. E. Hasse Prize for young actors from the Akademie der Künste Berlin, took up his first engagement at the Burgtheater Vienna in 2016 and moved to the Thalia Theater Hamburg in 2018/19, where he is currently working as a permanent guest.
