Bare, nested office corridors, endless beige-yellow walls, an incessant, unbearably loud whirring of fluorescent tubes: "Backrooms" describes a new kind of nightmare, a deserted parallel world of repetitive, windowless floors. One of the most innovative horror films of the year, based on an internet phenomenon, realized by the just 20-year-old director Kane Parsons.
