In the organizer's words:
A home movie with searching people and dancing machines.
Renting out, repairing and selling heavy machinery has dominated the lives of this Swiss family for many years, leaving little room for anything else. The father naturally assumes that Daniel, his son, will take over the family business. But Daniel is gay and wants to study management in the USA. After daughter Nadine's fatal accident, however, a point is reached where nothing is as it was before. Piet Baumgartner won Best Director 2025 at the Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival with his "Bagger Drama". He completed his master's degree in film directing at the ZHdK (Zurich University of the Arts). As a visual artist, he directs for film and theater. He is interested in people, machines and emotions.
