BAREROOTS is a piece that blends contemporary juggling and object theater. The performance takes place on a small, square stage and offers a new perspective on the collective use of resources. The minimalist stage space allows for an intense, intricately woven performance in which gestures and detailed juggling sequences take center stage. A piece centered on details—details that would be lost on a larger stage.

Jugglers Lena Kautz (DE) and Nastasja Jagodić (IT) met while studying in Rotterdam and have been working together in a juggling collective since the year before last. They will present an excerpt from their current production, BAREROOTS, which will premiere in the spring of 2027. A post-performance discussion will follow.
