LAMBE-LAMBE Miniature Theater Festival!

Big stories told on a small scale!

Small, tiny, Lambe Lambe. The Westflügel expands onto numerous stages while shrinking down to just a few square centimeters: the miniature theater in a box, called Lambe Lambe, plays with dimensions, leads us by the nose into the box, whispers in our ears, and lets us emerge once again, enchanted. Lambe Lambe refers, among other things, to a theater technique practiced worldwide that experienced a resurgence in the 1990s, particularly in Latin America:

In miniature theater boxes, short scenes are performed using puppets or objects for just one audience member.

Together with international guests, the Westflügel is celebrating this year’s summer festival on the closed-off Hähnelstraße as a festival of the tiny. You’re invited to discover these special theatrical worlds on the street and inside the building!
