The interactive theater dinner “Bavarian for Beginners” is a wonderful tribute to the Bavarian way of life. This production, staged with equal parts subtlety and humor, combines traditional Bavarian culture with the region’s signature cuisine in a truly delightful experience.
With plenty of wordplay, wit, and humor, the two protagonists guide their audience through an incredibly entertaining, lively evening that will really give your laugh muscles a workout.

Schorsch Kirchmeier, a true Bavarian, high school teacher, and self-proclaimed lecturer, is confronted with the shocking findings of a recent study stating that the Bavarian
dialect is massively threatened with extinction. He engages in fiery verbal sparring in delightful dialect with the native Prussian, school principal Frederike von Biederstädt, who takes her role on behalf of the Bavarian Ministry of Culture extremely seriously. Passionately and vehemently, he takes a stand for the Bavarian way of life deeply rooted within him and against any exaggerated “pretentious posturing.”

The captivating spectacle of this unlikely pair charms with hilarious moments, witty dialogue, and a unique, legendary Bavarian warmth. Visitors can look forward to an unforgettable evening full of lively surprises.  

The two protagonists, Rudi Gall and Sophie Meinecke, shine with their remarkable comedic talent and captivate the audience with their lively banter
and witty situational comedy. Rudi Gall, who grew up in the Alpine foothills (Oberau near Garmisch-Partenkirchen), is a true-blue Upper Bavarian for whom
is a labor of love—not just on stage—to preserve the Bavarian dialect, culture, and traditions and share them with the wider world. Sophie Meinecke, who is of German-French descent, has been acting with great passion since 2010 and attended
the Neue Münchner Schauspielschule until 2013. She can be seen on numerous stages in Munich,
in both German and French.
