The Bronx in the 80s in the midst of gang wars and violence. When night falls, hip-hop fever breaks out. Rappers battle each other with fast-paced chants, graffiti sprayers run riot on subway cars and DJs engage in wild scratch battles in the clubs. Lee, Kenny, Chollie and Ramon are at home in this cauldron. Together they only want one thing: to get out of the dirt and off the streets. With guest appearances by old masters of the hip-hop scene such as Grandmaster Melle Mel & The Furious Five, Afrika Bambaataa & The Soul Sonic Force with Shango, Kool DJ Herc and Tina B. as well as beatbox greats of the time such as Doug E.
