With the project 'Beauty on the Edge', the artists Martina Claussen (sound), Kerstin Skringer (painting), Lydia Daher (photo/text) and Stefanie Sixt (video) formulate their positions on social expectations and norms for women determined by clichés. What invisible, repressed and devalued realities take place at the edges of these norms? In a dialogical creative process, the artists intervene in current discussions (e.g. about care work, the importance of the external versus the internal) and create an exhibition in which the experienced and the lived, the private and the political are interwoven.
