BEHOLD GOD IN ALL THAT EXISTS IN HIS NAME is an installation created by Berlin artist Nazanin Noori for the Klosterruine Berlin. Four luminous modules, reminiscent of taxiway signposts, form a linear light sculpture around twelve meters long in front of the historical tomb monuments. Detached from their functional context, the signal orange surfaces combine to form a continuous lettering that marks and structures the space. The work relates the former sacred building of the monastery church to questions of religious affiliation, power structures and public perception. At the same time, it takes up pantheistic models of thought in which the divine is understood as an immanent presence. The addition "IN HIS NAME" refers to religious language as an instrument of authority, exclusion and hierarchization and thus also touches on perspectives of feminist theology.
