Lenge opens up a niche in German rap that didn't exist before: Hip-House. His deep voice merges with danceable beats and carries the spirit of the Chicago house of the 80s around Tyree Cooper into the present. What sounds like club energy is also an expression of a clear stance, because Lenge raps politically and anti-fascist. The fact that this mix works is not only evident on the dancefloors, but also on social media, where he hits a nerve with pointed video collages and his sounds go viral.
